Abstract
⺠The state of the art on calcium phosphate cement composites with fibres is reviewed. ⺠Polymer or ceramic fibres, either stable or resorbable, can be used as reinforcement. ⺠Resorbable fibres can generate macropores upon resorption. ⺠Blending with fibres improves in most cases flexural strength and toughness.
