Abstract
⺠Planar biaxial testing was conducted on porcine duodenum, jejunum, and ileum tissue. ⺠Collected data were fitted to averaged anisotropic and isotropic constitutive models. ⺠Averaged anisotropic models demonstrated the best fit to the experimental data. ⺠Averaged models were successfully implemented into finite element simulations. ⺠A FEM simulation of an active capsule in a section of the intestine was performed.
