Abstract
Some control approaches for large scale systems such as aggregation, immersion & invariance and overlapping, can be read in a unified manner using geometric tools. The role of invariance is stressed allowing a deeper insight into the resulting limitations. Finally a link with the notion of Φ-related control systems is suggested in order to overcome these constraints.
