Abstract
In this paper, the existence of stabilizing sliding motions in the context of switched linear systems is investigated. We consider the case of switched systems with two subsystems and we propose conditions for the existence of stable sliding hyper-planes. For particular cases of switched systems (planar systems, integrator chains), we provide constructive analytical methods for deriving a stabilizing switching sequence.
