Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of energy consumed by control equipment of production cells according to three axes: global functioning (i.e. power modes of a machine), control devices (detailed consumption of each control apparatus) and control architectures (influence of control devices assembly). Then, solutions like introducing and managing power modes in production cells control are presented and potential gains are evaluated by introducing a simulator of electrical power.
