Abstract
New developments on anti-windup synthesis are proposed in this paper. These are based on a recent work on a practical approach to stability and performance analysis of saturated linear systems. Basically, via LMI optimization, the anti-windup gains are calculated so as to minimize a performance index in the nonlinear domain, i.e when saturations are active. Then, a significant part of the paper is devoted to a thorough application, where the relevance of the proposed technique is clearly demonstrated.
