Abstract
A mechatronic microsystem is a new approach to restore the accommodative ability of the human eye in case of presbyopia or after cataract surgery. This intervention into the oculomotoric system will change the behaviour of its coupled control loops. Using a model of the accommodation reflex the static and dynamic behaviour of the system under natural conditions and in case of a replacement of the natural lens by the mechatronic system are simulated und discussed.
