Abstract
⺠UTS of welded specimens does not show significant variations with prior CW. ⺠TF of welded specimens decreases with prior CW until 20% and then increases. ⺠TF is more sensitive to the corrosive environment than UTS. ⺠The combined effect of prior CW and welding does not give rise to SCC. ⺠The DOS induced in the HAZ is not sufficient to direct the crack growth.
