Abstract
► 2.5D-C/SiC present excellent fatigue resistance at RT, whose fatigue limits are ∼85% of UTS. ► Oxidation of the carbon fiber takes key responsibility for the decrease in fatigue limits at 900 °C. ► Propagation of the cracks originated around the crossover of the bundles dominates the failure.
