Abstract
⺠2.5D-C/SiC present excellent fatigue resistance at RT, whose fatigue limits are â¼85% of UTS. ⺠Oxidation of the carbon fiber takes key responsibility for the decrease in fatigue limits at 900 °C. ⺠Propagation of the cracks originated around the crossover of the bundles dominates the failure.
