Abstract
Some parameter identification problems for a class of autonomous hybrid systems are considered here. Their resolution boils down to minimizing a cost function. A representation of considered hybrid systems - autonomous switched systems - is introduced that consists of continuous systems with no change in model. This representation, based on a convergence result, makes it easier to study the hybrid problem. It avoids discontinuities to occur in the adjoint state and simplifies the calculation of expressions of the cost function gradients that are obtained by means of calculus of variations. An application example is presented and the implementation of a descent method confirms the validity of the representation.
