Abstract
The performance of a double-junction CGS/CIGS solar cell with a thin CdS antireflector window layer were numerically simulated using 2-D SILVACO device simulator. Simulations were done under the standard AM1.5G spectral illumination. Thickness and doping concentration of different semiconductor layers were optimized to reach the maximum available efficiency percent. Under the current matching condition, with JSCâ¯=â¯27.09mA/cm2 and VOCâ¯=â¯1.9â¯V, the maximum conversion efficiency of 44.37% were achieved.
