Abstract
Increasing studies verify that the anisotropy of turbulence cells appears in the atmospheric turbulence. Temporal statistical properties of an optical wave will be analyzed for the anisotropic turbulence. However, previously derived temporal power spectral models for optical waves in anisotropic turbulence assumed that the turbulence cells satisfy symmetric distribution in the plane perpendicular to the propagation direction. This assumption is very special for the real anisotropic turbulence. In this work, to represent the more general distribution of turbulence cells in anisotropic turbulence, new theoretical temporal power spectral models of optical waves are derived for the weak anisotropic turbulence. They introduce two anisotropic factors to feature the asymmetric distribution of various turbulence cells. When these two anisotropic factors are equal to each other, the developed temporal power spectral models can be simplified as the early published ones. The researches in this work are beneficial to better comprehend the optical wave temporal statistical characteristics in anisotropic turbulence.
