Abstract
The paper deals with the problem of designing observers for discrete-time Lipschitz nonlinear systems. In particular, with the use of the Lyapunov method, two different convergence criteria of the observer are developed. Based on the achieved results, two different design procedures are proposed. Finally, it is shown how to utilize the proposed techniques to design unknown input observers. The final part of the paper shows experimental results that confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach and the potential profits that can be achieved while applying the proposed approach in the FDI scheme.
