Abstract
This paper presents a novel method in manipulating near-zone to far-zone extrapolation in two-dimensional case. The three-dimensional transformation produced a physically observable far-zone time-domain field, but this is not convenient to do directly in two-dimensions. In this paper, a representative two-dimensional broadband scattering width was obtained directly without refer to the three-dimensional case as previous method. The algorithm was validated via perfectly electric conductive (PEC) circular cylinder's monostatic and bistatic scattering width and the results showed the correction of the approach.
