Abstract
The effect of the process parameters viz., welding speed, laser power, focal position and pulse frequency, on the weld strength of Nd: YAG pulsed laser welded super duplex stainless steel (SDSS) is presented. A four-factor, three-level central composite experimental design was employed and the optimum parametric settings were determined using the desirability approach. The experimental response surface methodology is compared with the artificial neural network (ANN) model, and correlated.
