Abstract
This paper makes an attempt to confirm the existence of exact solutions for a special type of nonlinear partial differential equations (NPDEs) called the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation with dual-power law nonlinearity. For this aim, a method of calculation, referred to as the improved tan(Ï(ξ)/2)-expansion technique is utilized to extract a number of travelling wave solutions of the KdV equation with dual-power law nonlinearity. All computations in this article are performed by means of symbolic computation package.
