Abstract
Building automation systems use a variety of protocols and data sources, which aggravates their monitoring and diagnosis. The proposed monitoring system JMonA uses distributed monitoring agents to cope with this diversity and to adjust its functionality and performance to the particular building automation system. This paper introduces the corresponding ontology to describe and control the agent functionality and their runtime properties. The algorithm for semi-automatic configuration of the agents is proposed. The approach is evaluated in a case study. Copyright © 2007 IFAC
