Abstract

Possible forms of the source terms in fractional differential equations (FEs) in applications are considered. It is possible in FEs that different types of source terms are attached to the same FE except for the source terms according to the objects in application. The initial conditions for the FEs depend on the form of the source term in t ⩽ 0 that may not be contained in t > 0. Therefore, in application of FEs all the histories of the variable and the source have to be recorded for correct understandings of the objects.
