Abstract
We study problem of product classification from a set of product criteria in order to improve the manufacturing process variables. In that sense we propose a Choquet integral based multicriteria objective index (Global Evaluation Index GEI). This index is then used as objective function to propose an optimal set of operation conditions for specific application. The approach is tested and discussed in a case study from the chemical industry, and some concluding remarks and emerging problems to be considered in the future are presented.
