Abstract
The influence of Ambient Intelligence (AmI) will increase not only in the daily life but also in the future of industrial environments. The quantity of available information and interaction will increase significantly. This leads to a rising complexity equally for users and developers. Existing development methods meet the requirements only insufficiently for overcoming this complexity. The following contribution describes therefore an approach for the model-based development of user interfaces in AmI production environments. A substantial component is the model-based description of users by their tasks and characteristics.
