Abstract

The control of the drug-induced iatrogenicity isn't possible other than within the framework of an efficient drug circuit. Our study took place in the Observation Unit (OU) of the Emergency Department of the University Hospital of Nancy. Its objective was to measure the experience of various actors of the process around the security of the patient through the control of drug-induced iatrogenicity. We carried out a standard FMECA (Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis) dysfunctional analysis. The application of this industrial tool in a health environment highlighted a real desire for change, although only slightly guided by a desire of drug-induced iatrogenicity control.
