Abstract
Measuring Raman spectra of patient tissues, rapidly, in vivo and in real time, and allowing immediate diagnosis are challenges that have to be reached for a future clinical development of optical techniques. We present here examples of Raman spectra collected with a portable system on skin lesions and aortic tissues. Performances, but also limitations and required improvements of such a system will be discussed.
