Abstract
Each year, thousands of fatalities result from head injuries, of which the majority are sustained in motor vehicle accidents. Within the framework of the PREDIT PROTEUS (Head protection of vulnerable users) project, the aim of our researches consists on the study and prediction of the headbones' tolerance to impacts. Biomechanical characteristics have been extracted from 20 human skulls. This work presents a method of Dm Spline interpolation, which allows us to create maps of the various parameters. Results show the distribution of the various mechanical variables extracted from the measurement protocol.
