Abstract
⺠A novel label-free SPR-based aptasensor for thrombin detection was developed and characterized. ⺠This approach was based on the modification of a gold surface with 4-mercaptobenzoic acid, streptavidin and biotinylated anti-thrombin aptamer. ⺠The quantification of thrombin was performed from changes in the SPR angle. ⺠The biosensing platform demonstrated to be highly selective and sensitive for human thrombin with a detection limit of 12.0 nmol Lâ1 (240 fmol in the sample).
