Abstract
This work deals with relaxed conditions for controller design. The class of nonlinear models considered is discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy with time-delay. The conditions are obtained using the direct Lyapunov method and are given in a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) formulation. The main enhancement is obtained by analyzing the variation of the Lyapunov function over more than one sample. The model is considered with bounded unknown delay. The control law used is the well known Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC). The control law is obviously chosen without memory. The presented results outperform previous ones found in the literature and an example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the method.
