Abstract
This paper surveys some recent results on controllability of switched systems. First, for switched linear systems, the controllability over the state space outside of the controllable subspace is discussed. The structure of the controllable sub-manifolds is revealed. Secondly, certain easily verifiable sufficient conditions are provided for the practical and global controllabilities of switched bilinear systems. Finally, for the global controllability of switched nonlinear systems, some conditions similar to (B, AB, ··· , An–1B) of linear systems are presented. The result is also applicable to non-switched nonlinear systems or switched linear systems.
