Abstract
To understand the nature of emerging future production and the influence of e-Work on enterprises, design principles and collaborative control theory have been and are being developed, and are described in this article. The “four wheels” of e-Work, their fifteen e-dimensions and their role in e-Production are discussed and illustrated. Network models and their emerging redesign counterparts are explained with implications to the future of production.
