Abstract
This paper introduces a virtual simulation environment using rigorous model based dynamic simulator, multi-variable model predictive optimizing control and online optimizer, each of which is commercially available. By applying this environment to the fluidized catalytic cracking unit control application, the effectiveness of this environment has been confirmed from the viewpoint of not only process engineering but also control engineering.
