Abstract
Achieving continuous operation of machine tools in automotive and other manufacturing spheres requires support from condition monitoring professionals. Providing simulations of mathematical models of machines derived from initial design conditions and comparing these to actual machine conditions during production operation accessed via the Internet, enables professionals to remotely and economically determine the current operating status of these machines thereby detecting adverse trending potentially leading to machine failures. This remote capability can provide local production staff with the expert knowledge required to pre-empt some failures thereby supporting efficient operation of their facilities.
