Abstract
The IGF2R-specific peptide, cholesterol, and vitamin A are used as the targeting ligands for the neutravidin-based siRNA nanocomplex to deliver PCBP2 siRNA to fibrotic liver. Compared to free siRNA and the nanocomplexes coupled with vitamin A (SNVP) and cholesterol (SNCP), the IGF2R-specific peptide coupled nanocomplex (SNPP) showed the highest uptake in the liver and lowest uptake in the lung and kidney of the rats with CCl4-induced liver fibrosis. IGF2R-specific peptide modified nanocomplex is therefore a promising delivery platform for antifibrotic siRNAs.276
