Abstract
In this paper, a new method of chaotic-system synchronization based on adaptive backstepping with modular design is presented. This approach offers a systematic design procedure for adaptive synchronization of a large class of continuous-time chaotic systems known in research literature. This method is more advantageous than synchronization method via backstepping with tuning functions, proposed by C. Wang and S.S. GE (2001). It uses a simpler controller and the choice of the update law is more flexible. Simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the approach.
