Abstract
An adaptive observer-based control approach to suppress chaos in a class of chaotic systems is presented. It is considered the simplest class of dynamical systems that possess chaotic behaviour called P-class. Three continuous time control laws are taken as driving force to compare the performance between them using the proposed adaptive observer. The control laws attain chaos suppression as the observer provides estimated values close to the actual state/parameter values along time. Results are illustrated by computational experiments.
