Abstract
Today, it is necessary to teach the application of modern numerical tools during basic control classes. Because of the number of students, it is often impossible to give each one their own lab exercises. Encouraging students to do their computations independently by introducing competition is the goal of the Control Challenge. The contest and the experiences with it over the last three years are described.
