Abstract
Signal processing and identification algorithms are better understood if theoretical and numerical aspects are illustrated from an experimental point of view. Thermal context is quite attractive since physical phenomena are easy to analyse and can be studied by students whatever their scientific background is. Several laboratory experiments are exposed and pedagogic approach is developed including modelling, simulation, measurements and identification results. Periodic methods dedicated to identification of materials thermal parameters are investigated and phase lag analysis is performed.
