Abstract
In this paper the role of control history in control engineering education is discussed. A possible Web-based approach to historical aspects in control education is presented. The structure of Web-quest is presented and difficulties of using Internet sources are described. An example of the Web-pages on the history of linear matrix inequalities (LMI) in control theory is considered. These Web-pages dedicated to founders of the LMI theory. Finally some open problems are marked and further work is stated.
