Abstract
In this article, the authors suggest revisiting workshops with therapeutic mediations, where objects are proposed by the institutional environment and\or the therapist, from recent “affinity therapy”, practice taking support on the interest and the investment of specific objects chosen by the autistic children. Between these two practices, which seem, at first glance, the negative one of the other one, the authors suggest thinking a device with mediation where objects vary according to the child's “needs”. Two clinical situations will be exposed, allowing to isolate the metapsychological and clinical stakes of a workshop “in variation” on the theme of the object. A delicate knotting between wish of the intervener and interest of the child, the whole on the background of transference.
