Abstract
Studied the response characteristic of the fiber wounded on PZT to driver signals in order to analyze the instability of actively mode-locked fiber laser using the differentiating Sagnac interferometer (DSI) construction. In the experiments, the sinusoidal and triangle signals are used as the driver signals of PZT. The results show that when the frequency of the driver signal is no more than 1600Hz, the fiber wounded on the PZT can response the driver signals timely and linearly, but when the frequency of the driver signals beyond the range, the fiber cannot response the driver signals successfully, which explains well the phenomenon that the actively mode-locked fiber laser could not worked stably in fiercely changed environment.
