Abstract
⺠Link between aging expectations and various modes of physical activity were explored. ⺠Aging expectations of decline correlated with decreased involvement in strenuous physical activities. ⺠Effects of physical health aging expectations were stronger than general aging expectations. ⺠This association was significant among aging adults without restrictions of daily living only. ⺠Aging expectations may be an important promoting factor of strenuous activity and fitness among aging adults.
