Abstract
► We assume that judges must calibrate an internal judgment scale in serial evaluations. ► This calibration process leads to predictable biases in evaluations. ► The present study examines the duration of the calibration process in a talent test. ► Possible interventions to prevent biases due to calibration processes are discussed.
