Abstract
► In flight phobia there may be increased sensitivity for respiratory signals. ► Added respiratory loads were used in an interference paradigm and detection task. ► The respiratory loads caused interference in all subjects. ► In fear of flying the respiratory loads were detected more accurately. ► This superior accuracy was related to increased reports of bodily sensations.
