Abstract
⺠We used fMRI to examine networks associated with component processes of reading. ⺠We examined relationships between activation and variation in reading skill. ⺠Activation was different for orthographic, phonological and semantic processing. ⺠Different reading skills were associated with activation in separate brain regions. ⺠Normal variation in activation does not resemble differences observed in dyslexia.
