Abstract
The top figures show the mediation analyses from both Experiments 1 and 2. The bottom figure show scatter plots of absolute pitch category learning (from the generalization posttest) and working memory scores. Lower scores in the IPM task (Exp. 1) indicate better performance. Higher scores in the auditory n-back task (Exp. 2) indicate better performance. Across both studies, we find a significant relationship between auditory working memory and generalized pitch category learning.
