Abstract
⺠Dreams and hallucinations share common anatomic pathways. ⺠Parkinson and temporal lobe epilepsy patients have similar dream characteristics. ⺠Aggression and animal dream contents increase with cognitive dysfunction. ⺠Limbic and paralimbic involvement is suggested as a common mechanism. ⺠Cognitive decline impact upon dream content occurs irrespective of the etiology.
