Abstract
⺠People overestimate the projected size of their face on the surface of mirrors. ⺠We investigate this effect with a new computerized task. ⺠The overestimation bias can be modulated by prior exposure to a mirror. ⺠Reversed self-faces are significantly less overestimated than nonreversed faces. ⺠The face reversal effect shows an opposite pattern for non-self familiar faces.
