Abstract
⺠We examined the theory of mind (ToM) of 21 sexual offenders and 21 nonoffenders. ⺠1st vs. 2nd order, 1st vs. 3rd person, egocentric vs. allocentric perspective. ⺠Sexual offenders performed as well as controls only on the 1st order ToM task. ⺠Sex offenders, but not controls, did worse on the 3rd than the 1st person ToM task. ⺠Sex offenders, but not controls, failed to take an allocentric perspective.
