Abstract
⺠We examined the bases for remember-know and confidence recognition judgments. ⺠Participants were asked to think aloud during study and provide verbal reports at test. ⺠Results showed that most remember judgments were associated with recollection. ⺠Most know judgments were associated with a lack of recollection.
