Abstract
⺠Perception, action, impression, and expression of the body form a unit. ⺠Concern about the integrity is a frequent motive for the body image in the dream. ⺠The unit of the body may be differently experienced during wake and while dreaming. ⺠The brain may fully restore all body experiences in the dream. ⺠The self in REM sleep dreams may be not affected by waking experiences in amputees.
