Abstract
⺠Eye movements were used as an objective measure of mind wandering for text reading. ⺠Overall eye movements were slower and less frequent during reports of mind wandering. ⺠Within-word regressions were significantly lower during mind wandering episodes. ⺠Cognitive processes during reading may exert less control during mind wandering.
