Abstract
⺠Blunted stress reactions have been associated with motivational dysregulation. ⺠Forced expiratory volume is a motivationally dependent measure of lung function. ⺠Low forced expiratory volume relates to blunted cardiac reactivity. ⺠Results survived adjustment for confounders including stress task performance. ⺠This supports the idea that blunted reactivity reflects motivational dysregulation.
