Abstract
⺠Presenting temporally unpredictable USs enhances context conditioning in humans. ⺠Preexposure to unsignaled USs retards fear learning more than signaled US-preexposure. ⺠Context conditioning induced by US-unpredictability might block new CS-US learning.
